Job Title: Regional Sales Manager – Modern Trade
Location: Bangalore
Department: Sales
Reports To: Head – Modern Trade
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Regional Sales Manager to lead and manage our Modern Trade business in Karnataka. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong trade relationships, managing key modern trade accounts, and leading a team to ensur e execution excellence at the regional level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the regional sales strategy for modern trade channels in line with national objectives.
- Manage and grow business with key modern trade accounts such as Reliance, D-Mart, Big Bazaar, Lu Lu and Regional Chains etc.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with modern trade partners and category buyers.
- Ensure effective execution of promotions, visibility, and merchandising across stores.
- Monitor sales performance and analyze data to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Drive revenue targets, market share, and profitability for the region.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of ASM/Territory Executives and merchandisers.
- Collaborate with supply chain and finance teams for stock planning, billing, and credit management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and alignment with trade terms.
Key Requirements:
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- 8–12 years of experience in FMCG in Modern Trade
- Strong understanding of modern trade dynamics and regional retail landscape
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and sales reporting tools
- Willingness to travel extensively across the region
Compensation: As per industry standards (Negotiable based on experience)
