We are looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to lead and manage the Sales HR department.
Job Summary:
The Head of Sales HR will be responsible for driving the human resources strategy and supporting the sales function within the organization. This role will focus on the recruitment, development, and retention of top sales talent, ensuring that our sales team is motivated, engaged, and equipped to meet the company’s goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales HR management, talent development, and a deep understanding of the food processing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Talent Management:
- Oversee the recruitment process for the sales team, ensuring the attraction and selection of top talent in the industry. Develop programs to attract diverse talent, build a strong employer brand, and manage the onboarding of new sales employees.
Performance Management:
- Develop and implement sales performance management systems, setting clear expectations for the sales team. Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify areas for improvement, and create development plans to help sales personnel excel in their roles.
Sales Training and Development:
Work closely with the training department to create targeted training programs that enhance sales skills, product knowledge, and customer service capabilities. Ensure sales teams stay updated on industry trends, product developments, and company goals.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Oversee the compensation structure for the sales department, ensuring alignment with industry standards. Work with the finance team to create incentive plans that motivate the sales team to exceed targets. Evaluate benefits programs for sales personnel to ensure competitive offerings.
Employee Engagement and Retention:
- Design initiatives to improve employee engagement, job satisfaction, and retention rates within the sales department. Develop a strong employee value proposition to maintain a positive company culture.
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Provide strategic HR leadership to the sales department, working closely with sales leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives. Identify HR-related opportunities that could contribute to improving sales performance.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure that all HR practices within the sales function comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Provide regular reports on key HR metrics such as employee turnover, hiring trends, and training effectiveness.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- At least 15-20 years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role, preferably within a sales environment or the food processing industry.
- Proven track record in managing sales teams and implementing HR strategies that align with sales objectives.
- Strong understanding of the food processing industry and its unique HR challenges.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior leadership.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a diverse sales team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of HR software and tools (e.g., HRMS, ATS).
- Ability to analyze and interpret HR metrics and data.
- Experience with compensation and benefits planning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Experience in food processing, FMCG, or related industries.
- Familiarity with labor laws and compliance regulations specific to the food industry.
